Our Programs

From infants to adolescents, the Mara Montessori Collective offers a complete, authentic Montessori education—serving children from the first months of life through high school graduation. Our programs grow with your child—nurturing independence, curiosity, and confidence at every stage. Infants and toddlers build trust and self-reliance in safe, loving environments. Primary students discover the joy of learning through hands-on exploration. Elementary learners dive deep into academics and critical thinking, while middle school students apply their skills in meaningful, real-world projects. Our hybrid adolescent program connects rigorous study with purposeful work, preparing young adults to step into the world with real work, real purpose, and real connection.

Infant Community
2 - 18 Months

Our infant community is a peaceful, nurturing space where your baby’s earliest experiences are filled with care, connection, and discovery. Every detail—from the soft, open environment to the gentle guidance of our trained Montessori guides—is designed to support your child’s natural development. Our trained Montessori guides combine deep expertise in child development and the sensitive period of language with a genuine love for the children in their care, meeting each baby’s unique needs and supporting their most natural development.

We provide attentive, “on-demand” care that meets each baby’s physical and emotional needs, fostering a deep sense of security. Within this safe foundation, infants gain the freedom to move, explore, and engage with their surroundings. Unique to Montessori, even our youngest learners are offered purposeful activities that build independence, spark curiosity, and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Daily experiences are enriched with language, music, and meaningful interactions that honor each child’s emerging abilities and celebrate every milestone.

Toddler Community
18 months - 3 years

Our toddler community is a warm, thoughtfully prepared environment where independence blossoms, curiosity thrives, and children begin to explore how the world works and how they work in the world. Every element—from child-sized furniture to hands-on learning materials—is designed to invite exploration, purposeful work, and joyful discovery.

In this home-like space, toddlers practice self-care and practical life skills, strengthening coordination, concentration, and confidence. They experience the satisfaction of doing for themselves, from pouring their own water to tidying a shelf, sparking the joy of ‘I can do it myself!’ that lasts for years to come. The sensitive period for language is nurtured through rich conversation, songs, and stories, while side-by-side play fosters early social connections and cooperative spirit.

With gentle guidance, children learn to navigate their emotions, collaborate with friends, and show respect for their community—laying the groundwork for empathy, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.

Primary Community
3 - 6 years

Our primary community is a warm, vibrant, mixed-age environment where curiosity, friendship, and joyful learning thrive. Indoors and outdoors, children engage in purposeful work and creative play—discovering how the world works through hands-on experiences with Montessori materials, nature, and one another. Carefully prepared environments invite exploration, independence, and focused learning, sparking a sense of wonder that lasts well beyond the classroom.

Academic growth takes root naturally here, as children build strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, and problem-solving through engaging, concrete activities that lead to deep, lasting understanding. Social and emotional learning are equally honored, with daily opportunities to practice cooperation, empathy, and respectful communication during both work and play.

The kindergarten year is a time of confidence and leadership, as older children take on important roles—mentoring friends, modeling responsibility, and applying their skills in reading, math, and other areas—while preparing for the exciting transition to elementary.

Learning unfolds across six key areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Geography, and Science. Fine arts, music, foreign language, and physical education are woven throughout the week, enriching each child’s experience and nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.

Elementary Community
1st - 6th grade

Our elementary community offers the best of both worlds: strong, research-based academics delivered through an approach that ignites curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Children explore language, mathematics, science, history, and the arts in ways that meet or exceed the expectations of traditional education—while going far beyond what’s possible in a conventional classroom.

At the heart of our program is the cosmic curriculum—an interconnected, big-picture approach that begins with the story of the universe and humanity’s place in it, then moves naturally into the details that spark deep study. This cross-curricular learning helps children see relationships between subjects, apply concepts in meaningful ways, and understand how their learning connects to the world around them.

Project-based learning and collaborative work with peers give students opportunities to research, problem-solve, and create in both indoor and outdoor environments. They might be designing a science experiment, writing and illustrating a book, mapping the migration of animals, or tending a garden. These experiences not only strengthen core skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, but also build leadership, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

The elementary years form a strong foundation for continued success in our middle school and hybrid adolescent programs, carrying each student through to high school graduation.

Middle School Community
6th - 9th grade

Our adolescent community offers a rigorous, well-rounded education where students not only master academic skills but also bring their learning to life. Here, strong foundations in language, mathematics, science, history, and the arts are connected through cross-curricular studies and meaningful, real-world projects. Parents can expect the academic excellence they value—paired with a learning experience that goes far beyond textbooks and tests.

Learning is project- and process-based, encouraging students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and collaborate with peers. Whether designing an engineering prototype, researching local history for a documentary, launching a student-run business, or leading a community initiative, students see how their academic knowledge has value and impact in the real world.

Applied learning makes intellectual growth tangible. As students connect ideas across disciplines, they develop independence, confidence, and purpose—preparing them for success in our hybrid adolescent program and the journey through high school graduation.

Hybrid Adolescent Community
7th - 12th grade

Our hybrid adolescent program offers a rigorous, inspiring education for families seeking an alternative to traditional public or private school. It combines academic excellence with the freedom to pursue passions and real-world learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Students attend 2½ days each week on campus, engaging in cross-curricular, project-based learning that connects language, mathematics, science, history, and the arts. Learning is hands-on and process-driven—whether that means designing an invention, producing a community podcast, researching environmental issues, or building a small business. The remaining days form the home-school portion of the program, which can be independently designed by parents or co-designed in collaboration with our experienced adolescent guides to include internships, independent study, creative projects, or other purposeful learning experiences.

This approach makes academic growth relevant and enduring, cultivating independence, confidence, and purpose. Graduates are prepared for any path they choose—from Ivy League universities to entrepreneurial ventures and everything in between—ready to navigate an ever-changing world with adaptability, integrity, and vision.
